Wilderness Yoga School

Embark on a journey of self-discovery and personal leadership through movement, rooted in a practice of mindfulness.

This offering is unique as it explores alignment-based vinyasa yoga training through the lens of our natural surroundings.

We will gather for studio-based practices and discussions, as well as immerse ourselves in the mountain surroundings to play with movement and gain deeper connection with our natural environment. We will challenge the current lens through which you view yoga and explore ways to build a sustainable movement practice and dive into stillness.

Through guided self-inquiry and a supportive & innovative learning environment, we will challenge you to step to your edge and discover your true potential. This learning will be a key factor in your growth personally and on your path as a yoga teacher as you learn to hold space for others.

Lindsey Williams

B.Sc. (Kinesiology), B.Ed, M.A. Leadership, E-RYT 200, RYT 500, FIS, PTS

Lindsey Williams is passionate about the human body and discovering how to fuel it optimally through movement and nutrition. With over 20 years experience and continuous study as a yoga teacher, movement educator, outdoor guide, and entrepreneur, Lindsey teaches the importance of building a sustainable relationship with one’s body and the planet. Her fine attention to detail and calm present energy empowers students to become curious about their body and discovering their own unique potential. Lindsey is inspired by the wilderness and seeks to activate understanding, awareness and resiliency through physical and spiritual alignment with the natural environment.

Sarah Harvie

B.A., RMT

For the past 10 years Sarah has taught yoga and meditation as part of month long wilderness expeditions in South America, India, and North America. Sarah is a registered massage therapist and 500-hr trained yoga asana and nidra teacher. She has a CranioSacral practice in Canmore, Alberta and runs wilderness yoga retreats throughout Western Canada that focus on reconnecting with Nature and yourself through movement and stillness.

September 19-22 (Nature Immersion Rafting and Wilderness experience on the Kootenay River)

November 9-12 (Canmore-based)

**Also includes online modules in Anatomy and Ayurveda to begin after September sessions.
